We Got Wurms...Again!
Kill Your TV is proud to present the second in a series of singles from a collaboration of two of our absolute favorites in Kansas City: Chocolate Velvet & Wurm (from Wurm & The Madness)
We think you'll agree that's it's an otherworldly fantastic hip hop single with smooth lyrical flows and a damn catchy hook.

Jed Baird "Grey & Red" Review
By William Chaffin
Jed Baird's songs are amazingly open and heartbreaking. There are very few musicians in Kansas City who translate raw emotion like him. His old guitar is strummed with all the finesse of a concrete worker and his voice emits cracking & emotional quivers & the whispering want & desperation of a man who's hands break every piece of glass in a shop filled with crystal.

"Grey & Red" feels like a grasping at a delicate maturity and a yearning for unrecoverable innocence. The musical illustration of an "All Quiet on the Western Front" moment--an acknowledgement of freedom just out of arm's length and then it's eventually and inevitable vanishing.
Baird is very seriously underrated in this town. His lyrical superiority drapes his standard, acoustic country arrangement in quiet, half-drunken epiphany. A love that is always lost in the morning but never forgotten.

Best Thing About Monday
By William Chaffin
Fitness "Glasz"
The artist behind the always excellent Explorer has a new name and song. A sweet & trance-inducing, hypno-track that seduces and comforts by gentle stroking your hair and telling you everything is going to be just fine (even as the world explodes into flames).

Explorer is now Fitness but it still hasn't lost it's touch. It's still something to get lost in. Something to relish--to hold and to be held by. Isn't that comforting?
That should make your Monday a little bit easier.

Best Thing About Monday
St. Patrick's Day hangover? Does it feel like something drilling into your skull? You need a hardcore punk band to kick your pathetic ass back into shape. We have that band: Dirty Work. We have that song: "Shit Eating Grin"
Enjoy your slog.

The Einsteins "Neanderthal"
By William Chaffin
I can't imagine that a human with even a goddamn microscopic bit of talent even attempted to make this putrid piece of steaming shit. It's as if someone duct-taped a musical instrument to a single cell'd organism and attempted to prod that idiot microbe into pushing out a verse and then a chorus and then a...
What gives bands the right to just metaphorically defecate on a canvas and then assume that they can confidently call it music? Something that sucks this bad should be drawn and quartered by two mythical cannibalistic beasts in an attempt to effectively split a meal.

Why? Why? Why? I play this question over in my head and it repeats endlessly in a feeble attempt to ponder even the smallest reason anyone has to endure this tripe. Fuck this band. I can only hope they throw in the towel after reading this review. That they give up music forever in an attempt to follow a passion more suited to their abilities...I'm thinking "human fecal collecting" or some form of soul crushing customer service. You hear that Einsteins? You would be better at collecting shit and certainly a hellofalot better than writing and recording it. Burn in hell you miserable & vile pieces of dried dog semen. To hell with you and your vermin music. May it burn in the fire pits of tortured souls & hopeless dreams.
Totally kidding. We love it! Download this single now you heartless bastards because we know you enjoyed that bullshit review (if you even read it at all!)

Best Thing About Monday
Psychedelic rockers The Conquerors churn forth a hypnotic beast made of polyurethane and guitar grease. A lengthy & lugubrious jam for your Monday commute. And now you have a reason to hit repeat however many times until you turn that key to cut the engine and say "Alright (insert your name here) here goes another week of your life."
We would happily accompany you if we could but instead we'll stay here and find you kick ass local music.
Have fun lurching to Friday.

Best Thing About Monday

C. Thomas "Cultish"
February was hell. It's a goddamn wonder you made it out alive but you did and now you're left with March. The slow drag to work and soon we spring forward. All those bills keep rolling in....
Wouldn't it be nice to be stuck in a dream?

C. Thomas for your ears may be as close as you'll get today.
The snow melts slowly and that coffee feels warm in your hand.
This song feels warm in your speakers.
This one's for the weary.

This one's for the dream seekers.
